Kai-Ching Chang; Chamber Ensemble for Strings & Pianists (adults) Founder of WhenNotesFly, a Chamber Music Group. She wonPrix de Musique de ChambrefromFontainebleauSchoolinFranceand performed inchâteaudeFontainebleau.In Nov. 2008, she performed in the NTDTV Piano Competition Finalists Concert in The Town Hall inNew York. She was the winner of concerto competition at Longy School of Music, and performed Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.1 with Longy Chamber Orchestra in May, 2008. In March, 2007, she performed as a guest artist in UMass,Dartmouth. As a collaborative pianist, Miss Chang appeared as a performing associate in International Bowdoin Music Festival in summer in 2007. She has collaborated with Roger Tapping, Sergey Antonov, Jayne West, Robert Honeysucker, Carol McGonell and Meighan Stoops. In 2005, she worked as an assistant accompanist in National Symphony Orchestra (Taipei, Taiwan). She has collaborated with composer Paul Brust, Adam Simon and has premiered contemporary works by Joel Schenk, Amit Gilutz, JwaBum Saho Kim, Billy Dougherty. She is the staff accompanist in New England Conservatory and rehearsal pianist in PALS Children’s Chorus in Brookline. She has participated PALS’s collaboration with BSO and Cantata Singers, their performances appeared at Tanglewood, Symphony Hall, Gardner Museum and Jordan Hall. She has been on the faculty of New School of Music in Cambridge since 2007.

Matthew Edwards; Music Theory & Composition BM Berklee College of Music. Studies with Jim Stinnett, Dave Clark, Anthony Vitti, Dave Buda. Matthew has played in just about every type of band, from classical and jazz, to rock, funk and Latin. He has played in bands that have opened for such bands as Everclear and Pink. He has played in a string section that recorded with the Dropkick Murphys and can be heard on their latest album The Meanest of Times. Matthew has also played several shows with the Dropkick Murphys. He is an active member in the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra and the Quincy Symphony Orchestra. Matthew brings his versatility as a bass player to his teaching and is easily able to adapt to the students learning ability. No matter what style Matthew is teaching he always stresses playing with feeling and groove.

Loren Pearson; Children's String Ensemble BA Smith College. MM SUNY-Buffalo. Performed chamber, symphonic, and operatic music in Europe for 10 years. Performances with Boston Opera, Worcester Symphony, Masterworks Chorale, Rhode Island Philharmonic, and Hartford Symphony, among others. WGBH Live Performance Series. Since 1987 with husband Kevin McGinty has performed viola-piano recitals in local schools and colleges. Former faculty, Milton Academy and Cape Cod Conservatory.
Joe Reid; Sunrise Jazz Ensemble Pianist Joe Reid maintains a busy schedule performing in jazz clubs, with chamber ensembles, with dance troupes and numerous theatre groups. Joe has worked as a piano accompanist for the Boston Conservatory, the Longy School of Music, the Mark Morris Dance Company, various choral groups, and the New School of Music in Cambridge (where he also teaches jazz piano and jazz ensembles). Recordings on Telarc, Koch International and American Gramophone; featured on radio in “A Note To You” and “A Musical Offering”, and on television on “Long Ago and Far Away”. Coached ensembles at WellesleyCollege, TuftsUniversity, Mountain Collegium (North Carolina), Pine Woods, the Institute of Historical Dance (Salzburg), and University of Florida, Gainsville.
Christopher Schroeder; Improvisation Ensemble, Lecture Series Boston-based trumpeter, vocalist, composer/arranger, and educator, Chris Schroeder is a musician with diverse interests. As a trumpeter, he has performed with the Concord Symphony, Indian Hill Pops Orchestra, Neponset Valley Brass Quintet, and Boston Opera Collaborative. Prior to this, he performed on Main Street U.S.A at Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom Resort in Orlando, Florida. Merging his love for chamber music and education, Mr. Schroeder founded Bravado Brass, performing dynamic educational programs for local schools and community centers throughout greater Boston. A multi-facetted vocalist, he has performed as 'Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni, with the Boston-based a cappella group Similar Jones, and most recently narrator all six voices for Stravinsky's Histoire Du Soldat for The Boston Conservatory. An active music educator, Mr. Schroeder has worked at Boston College High School as the brass instructor for their Concert Band and jazz Big Band. He currently works with the North End Music and Performing Arts Center and is the Trumpet Instructor in residence for the El Sistema Music Initiative at the Conservatory Lab Charter School in Brighton.
